I will be doing more research into country music later on but here is a quick summary of what country music is and where it originated.
"Country music is a genre of American popular music that originated in the rural regions of the Southern United States in the 1920s. It takes its roots from the southeastern genre of American folk music and Western music. Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms and harmonies accompanied by mostly string instruments such as banjos, mandolins, electric and acoustic guitars, fiddles, and harmonicas."
After some extensive research into different styles of country music videos, I have decided on three videos that are the same style I want to create. To break down the conventions in order to let me see what is required for my music video, I will storyboard the first 30 seconds of the first video listed below, filling in details on the sound, mise-en-scene, cinematography and editing.
1. Miranda Lambert - "New Strings"
2. Jessica Andrews - "Who I Am"
3. Carrie Underwood - "See You Again"
